Our scholarships are one of our biggest selling features here at UEA. In this newsletter, we will highlight all our automatic scholarships and two of our most popular application-based ones. Please see our Scholarships Finder for all the scholarships available to international applicants.

AUTOMATIC UNDERGRADUATE & POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS

Our automatic scholarships make studying at UEA even more appealing. Students could receive an automatic scholarship of up to £6,500.

INTERNATIONAL UG MERIT SCHOLARSHIP*- £4,000 for each year of study (excluding placement years, years in industry or years or semesters abroad, or any other occasion where a student is not paying the full Overseas fees).

*Please note we do not offer automatic scholarships for the following undergraduate courses:

MBBS Medicine, BSc Medical Research, BSc Physiotherapy, BSc Occupational Therapy or any final year entry courses.

INTERNATIONAL PG MERIT SCHOLARSHIP** - Up to £5,000 as a tuition fee discount.

INTERNATIONAL PG MERIT SCHOLARSHIP** (BANGLADESH, INDIA & PAKISTAN) - Up to £6,500 as a tuition fee discount.

**Please note we do not offer automatic scholarships for the following postgraduate courses:

MSc Occupational Therapy, MSc Physiotherapy, MSc Plant Genetics and Crop Improvement or MSc Global Plant Health.

These scholarships are automatic and are subject to our terms and conditions.

APPLICATION-BASED POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS

BRITISH COUNCIL GREAT SCHOLARSHIPS

In partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, UEA is offering a GREAT Scholarship worth £10,000 to students from Bangladesh, China, Ghana and Nigeria.

It is a competition-based scholarship worth £10,000, with a deadline of 31 May 2025. It cannot be combined with any other UEA award. Find out more information on our website.

VICE CHANCELLOR’S INTERNATIONAL POSTGRADUATE EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP

The Vice Chancellor’s International Postgraduate Excellence Scholarship is an application based award open to those who hold an offer of study at UEA. Our scholarship panel sits on a regular basis and those submissions of the highest quality are awarded £7,000 in the form of a tuition fee discount. Successful applicants will be informed shortly after each panel. The deadline for applications is 2 June 2025.

Terms and conditions apply for these scholarships.

INTERNATIONAL EARLY PAYMENT AWARDS

To secure their place on their course, Overseas fee paying students must pay a deposit. If they pay their deposit or full tution fees by our early deadlines below, they can receive an International Early Payment Award.

Early Deposit Award - Applicants paying the full £4,000 deposit by 12 June 2025 will receive a £500 tuition fee reduction.

Full Payment Award - Applicants paying their tuition fees in full (minus any other UEA scholarship) by 31 July 2025 will receive a £1,000 tuition fee reduction.

Please note that the maximum total amount for these two awards is £1,000.

HOW TO FINANCE YOUR STUDIES WEBINAR

On Monday 10 March, 1pm – 2pm, we will be running our most popular webinar “How to finance your studies” aimed at students interested in studying at UEA and those who hold an offer.
