Deadlines for 2024 Pre-sessional Programmes

Students with English language conditions attached to their offer have the option to complete a pre-sessional programme with Cardiff University.

Successfully completing a pre-sessional programme allows students to progress onto their degree course without needing to retake their IELTS (or equivalent) test.

Those joining us in 2024 can choose between studying online, on-campus, or a combination of two; starting their course online before moving to Cardiff to complete their studies and moving on to their degree programme.

Our English Language Team will be happy to help you and your students choose the best option for them.

Places are still available 12, 10 and 8-week programmes however application deadlines are fast approaching.

Deposit payments and combined CAS

If pre-sessional students are eligible to receive a combined CAS, the Student Visa Compliance team will only be able to provide this once the student has paid their academic course deposit (for postgraduate programmes that require deposits) or provided evidence of sponsorship.
