I am delighted to share that Macquarie has risen to 178 in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025 released this month, retaining our position within the top 10 universities in Australia.

The University’s ranking increase was driven by improved scores for research quality, as well as strong results for technology transfer and research collaboration with industry, and is reflective of our steadfast commitment to providing education and research of the highest quality.

In other news, we have also recently introduced Postgraduate Weighted Average Mark (WAM) Adjustment Scheme which will enable more students to level up their careers sooner with a fast-tracked postgraduate course or double master degree.

It is also well known that schools and early education settings are facing ongoing teacher shortages as fewer new teachers enter the profession and existing teachers exit. State and Federal Governments have undertaken a range of actions to try address this, and Macquarie has responded with a pioneering suite of Bachelor of Education degrees.
