英-南安普顿大学-New fee waiver period; new scholarships; upcoming deadlines

This month’s newsletter includes important updates to support your student recruitment, including:

• third postgraduate application fee waiver period
• new scholarships

We're happy to announce that we have now launched our third postgraduate fee waiver period which will run from 11 April to 16 May (23:59 BST)! The usual £50 application fee will be waived for master's students applying for 2025 entry during this extended period.

Please note: The university will be closed from 16 April to 21 April for Easter. During this period, responses to inquiries may be delayed.

New Scholarships

Engineering Global Talent Scholarship 

• Now open to ALL international students. Deadline extended to 28 April.

Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships 

• 10 fully funded scholarships are available for:
  • MSc Gerontology
  • MSc Global Ageing and Policy
• Applications open 8 April – 20 May.

Offer holders have been sent invites to our upcoming on-campus Postgraduate Visit Afternoon on 30 April at our Highfield Campus. If you work with student who might be able to attend in person, please remind them to look out for their email invites.

We are fast approaching key deadlines for several competitive scholarships. Please encourage eligible students to apply in good time:

Southampton Presidential International Scholarship – 22 April

• For international students who will start their course in 2025 and study for either an undergraduate degree or a postgraduate master’s degree. Successful applicants will be awarded with: £10,000 off their tuition fees, or 100% off  

• For international students studying an arts and humanities degree

 Chemistry Dean’s International Scholarship – 22 April

• For international students studying chemistry and chemical engineering at either undergraduate or postgraduate level.  

 ECS Commonwealth Scholarship – 22 April  

• For all international UG + PG students studying an Electronics and Computer Science.

British Council GREAT Scholarships - Mexico, Egypt, Ghana, Nigeria and France which all end on 30 April
