UNE offers eligible commencing international students a bursary in the form of a 20% fee reduction of the published 2025 annual international tuition fees for their first year of study.

The 20% bursary is only guaranteed for the first year of their course. However, eligibility for subsequent years depends on academic performance. Continuing students will need to achieve a minimum GPA of 4.5 on a 7.0 scale to be eligible to receive the bursary each academic year.

Eligible students include:

1. On campus full-time international students enrolling in a full degree program (not Non-award, Postgraduate International Qualifying Program etc.) as per the nationalities listed in the regions below.
2. Online full-time, full degree international students enrolling in a full degree program (not non-award) as per the nationalities listed in the regions below.
3. Eligible Regions:
   1. Pacific
   2. South East Asia
   3. North East Asia
   4. South Asia
   5. Africa
   6. Latin America

International bursaries are only available for students enrolling in the Armidale campus in 2025. Students enrolling at UNE Sydney will not be eligible for an international bursary.

International students commencing studies at UNE Armidale in Trimester 1 2025 may be eligible for an accommodation scholarship in one of UNE’s residential colleges.

What is included in the scholarship offer?

1. Accommodation fees for a single student for a maximum of two (2) academic trimesters, valued up to AUD$4,000. Please note that Accommodation Scholarships are not available to couples or students with families.
2. Fully furnished residential student style college room with single bed, desk & wardrobe.
3. Utility costs (electricity, heating, water).
4. Free internet and Wi-Fi access.
5. Campus Security 24-hours, 7-days per week.
6. Dedicated Residential Student Support, including academic support and tutoring.
7. One free airport or train station transfer after arrival into Armidale.
8. Residential orientation, activities, and special events.
