Dear valued partners, Thank you for your support throughout 2024. Your unwavering dedication and hard work have been pivotal in our success this year. As we look ahead to 2025, we are excited to share our 2025 program availability and new articulation partnerships in this edition of our newsletter.

We can advise that the proposed bill, which aimed to introduce caps on international student enrolments, has been adjourned and did not pass the Senate. This outcome means it is unlikely that legislative caps will be imposed for 2025. In light of the recent government outcome and following UNSW's guidance, UNSW College will re-open some 2025 intakes. We will continue to closely monitor the progress of the proposed legislative changes, engage closely with our UNSW counterparts and the Australian Government, and keep you updated. Re-opening 2025 intakes Applications for UNSW College programs are opening on the following timelines: Diploma Term 1 2025  Applications re-opened to onshore students only.  Provisions will be made for graduating Foundation studies students both onshore and offshore.    Diploma Term 2 and Term 3 2025  Between 9 December 2024 and 6 January 2025, UNSW College Admissions will prioritise applications from students who have applied for these intakes previously but weren't able to secure an offer. To reopen an existing application, please make your request via StudyLink.  From 6 January 2025 both intakes will be open to new applications.    Foundation Standard Plus Program, June 2025,  Foundation Standard Program, August 2025  Applications have re-opened.  Application and Acceptance deadlines apply. Online UEEC - New 5-Week Intensive Format Students who narrowly missed the English entry requirements for their Term 1 2025 UNSW degree now have the option of studying our Online UEEC in an intensive 5-week format, commencing 6 January 2025. UNSW T1, 2025 conditional offer holders will shortly be receiving information directly from UNSW College about the course and how to apply. Expanding articulation pathways for students To further support student success, we are expanding our university articulation opportunities for students who may not progress to UNSW.  Our Foundation Studies Programs are already recognised by all Go8 universities and now, more leading universities in Australia and worldwide will accept our programs for entry. This recognition underscores the high quality of our programs and our dedication to providing flexible pathways that ensure access to quality education for all students.  In addition to already being recognised by the Go8, we are pleased to announce that the latest universities to formally recognise our programs include Griffith University and University of Southern Queensland. Stay tuned - more university pathways are on the way!  These expanded pathways provide more options for students and particularly benefit our Transnational Education students studying overseas.

Shut down period A reminder that our office will be closed over the holiday break, closing Monday the 23rd of December 2024 and reopening on Thursday the 2nd of January 2025. During this time, a limited number of UNSW College Admissions staff will be available in Sydney.
