UNSW 2025 Admissions processes Dear valued partner, Happy new year! We hope 2025 brings you happiness, success, and good health. We are writing to provide important updates regarding admissions and enrolments for the year ahead. To optimise the changes made in 2024, UNSW has further streamlined our processes to provide greater clarity and help manage the expectations of your students. Offer rounds UNSW will continue to make offers in 2025 on specific dates, with offers for undergraduate and postgraduate programs being made on alternating weeks. For important dates, including offer rounds and deadlines, please check the UNSW 2025 International Admission FAQ page. To be considered for an offer in a particular round, applicants must submit a complete application by the relevant deadline. If an application is incomplete by the final submission date for that term, it will not meet the entry requirements and as such, the application will be denied. See 2025 key dates Conditional offers UNSW will release conditional offers based on English language results during regular offer rounds. These offers will include a deadline by which students must meet the conditions - either by submitting their English test results or enrolling in UNSW College’s UEEC program. Students who are completing an approved external English language program can request an extension of their offer deadline until their course is finished.

Offer expiry Please note important changes to our offer expiry deadlines below. Full offer holders: Full offer holders will now have 21 days to accept their offer before it expires. Conditional offer holders: Conditional offer holders will have 8 weeks (56 days) to meet the conditions of their offer, either by submitting English language results or confirming their enrolment in UNSW College’s UEEC program and accepting their offer. Students who are completing an approved external English language program can request an extension of their offer deadline until their course is finished. Once the conditions are met and their conditional offer is accepted, students will receive a full offer, which will include our standard 21 day offer acceptance period. Deferrals As visa processing times for international students remain uncertain, UNSW has made provisions for deferrals for students who do not receive a visa outcome in time for the start of term. Students who have accepted their offer, received their COE, and have not received a decision on their visa application before the term starts, can request to defer their enrolment to the next available term. You can contact your regional representative or the UNSW Nucleus for assistance with this process.  Students seeking to defer their offer to study at UNSW (before accepting) may submit an offer deferral request, however, please note that offer deferral is not guaranteed and requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Where allowed, offers will only be able to be deferred for a period of up to one year.

Term 1 late arrival arrangements Due to delays in visa processing, we are offering some flexibility on the arrival dates for students starting in Term 1, 2025. If your student expects to arrive shortly after the term begins because of visa processing delays, they should first reach out to UNSW Nucleus. Based on the outcome, they will then need to contact their course coordinator to confirm their late arrival. If students are unable to arrive shortly after the term begins, they must defer their enrolment to the next available term. Please see above deferral advice for these students. With visa processing times for international students still uncertain, our recommendation is to act early and submit applications as soon as possible.
