We would like to communicate some key changes to the application and interview process for the following Education and Social Work programmes:

• Grad Dip in Teaching (ECE)
• Grad Dip in Teaching (Primary)
• Grad Dip in Teaching (Secondary)
• Bachelor of Education (Teaching)

Importantly, applicants no longer have to book an interview on Eventbrite and attend a Zoom interview.  Instead, they are now sent an invitation to complete their interview in a pre-recorded format on a platform called Kira Talent.

• Application Submission: The applicant submits their application via the ATS system.
  
  
• Initial Assessment: Our Admissions Team conducts the initial review.
  
  
• Conditional Offer: If entry requirements are met, the applicant is issued a conditional offer, which includes all necessary checklists, including an interview checklist. The offer also includes this note:
  
  "Interviews are conducted online, and you will receive a separate email with details about the structure and format of the interview shortly."
  
  
• Interview Invitation: The invitation to complete the online interview through Kira Talent is sent within the same week as the conditional offer.
  
  
• Interview Completion: Applicants have two weeks to complete their recorded interview.
  
  
• Interview Scoring: Reviewers assess the interview, and if the required score is met, the interview checklist is marked complete. The applicant is reminded to complete any outstanding checklists.
  
  
  • If the required score is not met, the application may go through moderation with the Programme Director, and a pathway recommendation or decline may follow.

• Simultaneous Invitations: The interview invitation is now sent at the same time as the conditional offer. This is a change, as previously, applicants would schedule their interview.
  
  
• Email for Invitations: The Kira Talent invitation is sent to the applicant's personal email address (not their UoA email). We can only send it to one email address.
  
  
• Two-Week Validity: The interview link is valid for two weeks and cannot be extended. However, if the link expires, we can issue a new one upon request.
  
  
• No Scheduling: The system does not allow scheduling for future dates. Applicants should contact Admissions when they are fully ready to complete the interview if their link expires.
  
  
• Checklist and Offer Validity: If the interview link expires, the checklist remains open, and the conditional offer stays valid. We will follow up with applicants to assist them with completing all necessary requirements.
