Dear Colleagues,

As we approach the end of another year, we want to express our appreciation for your ongoing support and partnership. Together we continue to make a meaningful difference, helping students from around the globe access quality education at UniSQ. Thank you for your invaluable contribution and support of our teams.

UniSQ’s achievements in 2024 underscore its dedication to impactful research, student success, and global engagement. Research highlights include securing $1.7 million in Australian Research Council Discovery Projects funding and $2.8 million through Advance Queensland's Industry Research Fellowship scheme. UniSQ also led a $13 million initiative to combat diseases in the cotton industry and was recognised with the Australian AI Award for aerospace innovations. The iLAuNCH Trailblazer program expanded through a partnership with Deloitte to globalise space research and development.

The University’s reputation continues to grow, with its graduates earning the highest starting salaries in Australia, as reported by the 2023 Graduate Outcomes Survey. UniSQ received a 5-star QS World University rating for teaching, employability, and engagement and placed first and third in the Regional Universities Network Learning and Teaching Awards for excellence in work-integrated learning and healthcare education.

Significant milestones in 2024 include the installation of Hon Dr. John McVeigh as the new Chancellor, signifying a new era of leadership. UniSQ also co-hosted the Climate Future & Smart Agriculture Forum with Lanzhou University, emphasising its commitment to sustainability and global collaboration. These achievements reflect UniSQ’s ongoing impact in education, innovation, and community leadership.

A reminder that our office will be closed during the holiday season on the following dates:

• Closed: The University will be closed for the holiday period from 5:00pm (GMT+10) on 23 December 2024
• Reopening: Our offices will re-open on 2 January 2025

UniSQ continues to drive impactful research, foster student achievements, and strengthen its reputation globally. From all of us at UniSQ, we wish you a happy holiday season.
