As the end of the year approaches, we are pleased to confirm UWA’s scholarship offerings for 2025. We will continue our Global Excellence Scholarship and International Student Award for Semester 1 and 2 in 2025 to support international students commencing their study journey with UWA.
We would also like to share some key updates on admissions dates for the Doctor of Medicine and the Doctor of Dental Medicine and introduce two new specialisations in Master of Information Technology. |
Global Excellence Scholarship for 2025 |
At UWA, we offer the Global Excellence Scholarship to high-achieving international students who choose to study with us.
The scholarship is now available for 2025, offering undergraduate students the opportunity to receive up to AUD$48,000* over four years and postgraduate students up to AUD$24,000* over two years for eligible courses. |

International Student Award for 2025 |
UWA is pleased to continue our International Student Award in 2025. For students from select countries who may not meet the requirements for the Global Excellence Scholarship, we are pleased to offer an opportunity to receive a fee reduction of AUD$5,000* per year.
This means that undergraduate students can get up to AUD$20,000* off their course fees over a four-year degree and postgraduate students can receive up to AUD$10,000* over two years on eligible courses. |

Semester 1, 2025 deadlines |
Applications are still open for your students to apply to study at UWA in Semester 1, 2025. Please take note of the deadlines below for you and your students: |
- High risk countries: Monday 23 December 2024
- Low risk countries: Monday 13 January 2025
- International onshore: Friday 21 February 2025

Applications for Doctor of Medicine and Doctor of Dental Medicine 2026 intake |
International applications for graduate entry to the Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Dental Medicine and school leaver entry to the Assured Pathway to Medicine and Dentistry will open on 1 January 2025.
We recommend submitting applications for your students as soon as possible in case an English test or an admission test is required.

Introducing new specialisations in Master of Information Technology |
The Master of Information Technology (Course CRICOS: 083866G) offers two specialisations, providing students with advanced knowledge in the latest IT fields. These specialisations are designed to equip students with the expertise required to excel in these rapidly evolving technologies. The course is also accredited by the Australian Computer Society. |
The Artificial Intelligence specialisation provides students with the skills to design, evaluate, and implement AI systems. They will gain hands-on experience in machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and adaptive systems, preparing them for successful careers in AI with in-demand technical and leadership skills. |
The Software Systems specialisation equips students with the knowledge and skills to design and build software systems using modern deployment frameworks, including cloud computing, the Internet of Things (IoT), and high-performance computing platforms. Graduates will be well-prepared to work with cutting-edge technologies in software development and deployment. |
